Hi, I’m Dustin

I'm a dad of five, and I've been cruising for 10 years. I've sailed with Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Norwegian, Celebrity, and Virgin — most of those times with kids in tow.

That's taught me a lot. I know which ships handle big families well, which cabins fit five or more people, and which “deals” cost more once you add everything up.

I started Waves of Adventure of NC to give other families that same inside knowledge. I'm based in Stanfield and work with Fora Travel, so you get one real person who knows you, backed by a big agency.

Why is most of it free?

Cruise lines and resorts pay me a commission when you book. Your price is the same as booking yourself, and often you get extras like onboard credit or upgrades. I charge a fee only when a trip takes a lot of extra planning time.

  • Usually not. Most cruise and resort bookings are free because the supplier pays me. Custom and group trips have a flat fee, and I'll tell you the amount before we start.

  • Yes, and this is where I help the most. Most cabins hold four people. I know which ships have connecting cabins and family suites, and how to split a group without paying for rooms you don't need.

  • I recommend it for most trips, especially cruises. I'll walk you through a few options and you decide. No pressure either way.

  • No. You pay the same price, and I'll often get you perks you wouldn't get on your own.

  • For cruises and popular resorts, 6 to 12 months out gets you the best cabin choice and price. Last-minute deals do happen, so it's always worth asking.

  • You text or call me, not a 1-800 number. I'll work on it with the cruise line or resort while you enjoy your trip.
